Category Overview

Roll Stiffness That Keeps the Carbody Stable.

An anti-roll bar system (ARB) is an essential stability safeguard in modern railway bogies, designed to limit carbody roll movement during high-speed cornering and lateral displacement. Our integrated railway anti-roll bar assemblies comprise precision-forged torsion bars, operating arms, anti-roll bar links, and resilient support bearings engineered to withstand high torsional fatigue.

By delivering calculated roll stiffness without compromising vertical suspension compliance, our ARB solutions optimize running safety and passenger comfort across high-speed rail, light rail, and heavy-haul freight systems. Every torsion shaft and link assembly undergoes rigorous magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic inspection, and dynamic load testing.

System Assembly Breakdown

Four Components. One Roll Control System.

Each element of the roll control system is specified together, so torsional stiffness, link geometry and bearing compliance work as one matched set.

  1. Torsion Bar Shaft

The core spring element. Twists under differential wheel-set movement to generate roll stiffness. Precision-forged alloy steel with controlled yield strength.

  2. Operating Arms

Lever arms that convert vertical relative motion into torsion in the shaft. Arm length and angle set the effective roll stiffness and rotation range.

  3. Anti-Roll Bar Links / Vertical Rods

Connect the operating arms to the carbody or bolster. Supplied with the joint form and length your bogie layout requires.

  4. Support Bearings / Rubber Mounts

Locate the torsion shaft on the frame and allow controlled rotation, while damping noise and accommodating small misalignments.
